Edenwilde Book Club

18 Feb

It isn’t often that Billy Albertson accompanies me to book club meetings. Primarily because he’s a busy man. Even before I wrote In the Garden with Billy he was a busy man. Now, he has so many visitors, even  I sometimes need to make an appointment to see him. As they say in the south, the Edenwilde ladies “must be living right.” Last week they received a treat. Billy Albertson joined their group. We came. We noshed. We stayed a very, long time. At one point I looked at the clock and said, “Law have mercy…it’s 10 o’clock!”

Thank you to Edenwilde for making Billy feel right at home, and to the other bookclubs that have read In the Garden with Billy: Lessons About Live, Love & Tomatoes. truly, you have touched my heart (Billy’s too).

Here are some comments from the group:

Amazing book club meeting last night in Edenwilde. Local author, Renea Winchester, along with Mr. “Billy”, came to share their book, In The Garden with Billy, a beautifully written account of how this unlikely pair met and became best friends. So endearing and delightful. We could all learn alot from Mr. “Billy”…he told some charming, funny stories about family and gardening. I believe you can order their book from amazon.

Such a delightful time at your house last night with Billy and Renae! I just loved listening to him talk and tell his stories…a treasure! ”

“Thanks guys for hosting book club last evening it was a blast. What an fascinating man Mr. Billy is!”
“Thanks Jo Anne it certainly was a night to remember.”

      Good morning Margaret,
Both In the Garden with Billy: and Stress-free Marketing: Practical Advice for the Newly Published Author are traditionally published, meaning that your favorite bookstore can order them (if they are sold out).
Since I’m uncertain your location, here is a quick list of the stores that I know have copies:
      In Roswell: Bookmiser. (770) 993-1555
I believe Barnes and Noble still has them as well. Ask for Dan Boone, he can order a copy for you. (770) 993-2770
In Marietta, The Book Exchange has the book. (770) 427-4848
In Woodstock, Fox Tale Books has the book. (770)-516-9989
If you live in NC, both City Lights Book Store (704)586-9499 and Malaprops carry the book (828) 254-6734.
If you need me to contact a specific bookstore and ask them to stock the book I can have my publisher do that.
If any of the independent bookstores are sold out, usually they can get books for you as quickly as Amazon can deliver them. And, some bookstores also deliver now. I adore the local bookstores, they have been so good to me (and Billy).

Of course, if you are on Kindle both are available on Kindle Download as well.

And then, there is the man himself. Billy Albertson, has copies for sale. He will gladly autograph them for you.
Thank you again. Blessings to you and let me know your thoughts on the book. I’m working hard to write, In the Kitchen with Billy, where I will share not only how we grow, but cooking what we grow on Billy’s “little strip of land.” Thank you for your interest.
      Hugs and blessings,

      Renea Winchester
